GLENDALE, AZ. – Mercy Housing’s new property, The Cascalote, celebrated its grand opening on Wednesday. The Cascalote is an affordable senior housing community for those aged 62 and older, located near 51st Avenue and Glendale Avenue.

The Cascalote offers 148 affordable apartment-homes for low- to moderate-income seniors, including units reserved for residents transitioning out of homelessness or living with disabilities, with an emphasis on veterans.
Amenities include a fitness center, bocce court, community garden, dog park, picnic areas, and walking paths—all designed to foster connection, promote health, and uphold dignity.
Arizona IDA was pleased to celebrate with project partners, including Glendale Mayor Jerry P. Weiers, Kuhl Brown Kuhl Brown (Regional VP of Real Estate Development, Mercy Housing), Robin Smith and Brittny Woods (Arizona Department of Housing), and Stephanie Torigian (Maricopa County Human Services Department).
